The Iron Horse Station is a landmark inn, restaurant, tavern, and shops located in the heart of Hot Springs, North Carolina, a historic mountain town situated directly on the Appalachian Trail.

The Iron Horse Station has been renovated and extensively restored; transforming the inn, restaurant, tavern, and shops into a charming destination surrounded by the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains and the French Broad River.

The Restaurant and Tavern offers a friendly and casual dining experience. With a wide menu variety, a nice selection of beer and wine, a guest lounge with a fireplace, large screen TV and Wireless Internet, the Iron Horse Station is a memorable spot to eat, drink, and relax in a comfortable environment.

The Shops at Iron Horse Station feature a coffee and tea bar with comfortable seating and WI-FI. It is a great place to wake up with a cup of coffee and muffin, chat with friends or new acquaintances, or boot up your laptop to catch up on your e-mail or latest news.

Experience 4,000 square feet of pine floors, 18 foot tin ceilings, old brick walls that create the perfect background for authentic artwork made by local artisans. Browse over 30 vendors for the perfect gift and take home a piece of Hot Springs.

Artisun Gallery & Cafe is home to many of the diverse and talented artists of Hot Springs and Madison Co. NC.. In this restored 1890s hardware store, our goal is to create an inclusive welcoming space that reflects our regional creative artists and crafts people of all sorts. The original pine floors, 18 foot tin ceilings and old brick walls create an atmosphere for the authentic artwork made by over 30 local artisans, many of whom display their work exclusively at ARTISUN. You are sure to find many ‘one of a kind’ items while supporting local art! We also carry great gift ideas with Hot Springs and Appalachian trail themed items. While perusing the art, you can enjoy items from our café. We proudly serve locally made fresh baked goods, coffee and espresso from BeanWerks, AppalaChai, Buchi Kombucha on tap and Ultimate Ice-Cream! So good!!
